At Simit Tribu, our kids sewing classes in Barcelona are held every week in our studio in El Born. In small groups, your child will build real skills, week after week.
What happens in class?
First, we get familiar with the sewing machine. Children learn to thread it and use it safely, always at a pace that respects their confidence. Then, we practise straight, parallel and zigzag stitches. Step by step, ideas turn into real projects, made entirely with their own hands, from small accessories to wearable pieces they’ll be proud to show off.
Each session is calm and hands-on. There’s no rush, and no pressure to get it right the first time. Also, no previous experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to try.
Why sewing?
In a world full of screens, sewing offers something rare: a slow, tactile process. Because of this, children can actually see their own progress with their hands. It builds patience, focus and fine motor skills. Plus, it gives them a real sense of accomplishment every time they finish a project. That’s exactly why we created these kids sewing classes in Barcelona, to give children a genuine creative outlet, away from screens.
Who are these kids sewing classes for?
Children aged 8 and over. Groups are small, up to 6 kids, so every child gets close attention and plenty of space to create.
When?
Starting in October, every Wednesday, 5pm to 6:30pm.
